Highlights
The overall objective of full-immersion at SIS is for each student to develop a reflective intercultural competence, allowing him or her to function as a global citizen, capable of facing and interacting with different cultures throughout life. SIS programs are intended for students with a wide range of motivations for studying abroad, and courses are offered in a variety of disciplines, all with an emphasis on the Italian perspective. All students are housed in family board accommodations, encouraging the use of language skills and deepening students’ interaction with Italian families and culture. In many courses, learning is not limited to the classroom. Whenever possible, SIS integrates field excursions and visits to enhance comprehension and provide students with a multifaceted experience.
