When I arrived in Florence the first thing I noticed were the unique buildings and architecture. Everything was so beautiful! The people were very friendly and helpful. My arrival was quite interesting, after leaving the airport I spent hours trying to find somewhere to exchange my American dollars. Then after being lost for quite a while I found the hotel that I was staying at for the night.
Orientation was very helpful, we were informed on what to do and what not to during our stay in Florence. The orientation staff was very helpful and gave us plenty of tips of the city. My favorite part of orientation was the tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the city and engaged well with us students.
The apartments are really nice. The first thing I noticed about my new home was the tall ceiling. The area in which I am staying is so much different from my home in the United States. Everything is in walking distance and I can enjoy sight seeing while walking to class! I am ecstatic to experience my stay here in Florence Italy!
