SAI offers stand-alone, full-time internships, as well as part-time internships taken as a complement to coursework in Florence, Rome, Milan, and Sorrento in Summer 2025.

 

Milan, Italy
The city of Milan presents a harmonious fusion between stunning historical monuments such as the Milan Cathedral, cutting-edge fashion and design seen in the fashion district of Quadrilatero dell Moda, internationally recognized music and performance in noteworthy theaters, and the financial district of Porta Nuova teeming with powerful executives. As the leading financial center, and the most prosperous commercial city in Italy, Milan is the perfect abroad location to launch into your career aspirations.

  • Milan Internships: complete a stand-alone, full-time internship, and earn 6 US credits. Internships last 8 weeks, and are available in a wide range of fields.

 

Florence, Italy
Florence is a vibrant city full of culture, history, amazing food, and some of the world’s best artistic treasures. An internship in Florence allows students to grow their global understanding with an opportunity to live in the heart of the Renaissance.

SAI offers internships in Florence from two host programs:

  • Florence University of the Arts (FUA): complete an internship as part of your academic coursework in the 6 week and 12 week summer sessions. Internships award 3 US credits, and are available in a wide range of subjects.
  • Florence Internships: complete a stand-alone, full-time internship, and earn 6 US credits. Internships last 8 weeks, and are available in a wide range of fields.

 

Rome, Italy
Regarded as a birthplace of Western civilization, Rome is a major tourist destination, although it maintains an authentic and traditional atmosphere in the peace of its small streets and the splendor of its piazzas bursting with life.

  • Rome Internships: complete a stand-alone, full-time internship, and earn 6 US credits. Internships last 8 weeks, and are available in a wide range of fields.

 

Sorrento, Italy
Interning in Sorrento gives students a chance to experience Mediterranean culture, history and arts, while taking advantage of the location on southern Italy’s coast. Students will be provided unique applied experiences in local organizations.

  • Sant’Anna Institute (SA): complete an internship as part of your academic coursework in the 5 week and 10 week summer sessions. Internships award 3 US credits, and are available in a wide range of subjects.
