As a first generation college student, attending college isn’t just a big milestone for the student, but a huge step for the entire family. This can also be said for the road to studying abroad. First generation college students who study abroad are demonstrating an important commitment to becoming global citizens, and expanding their future opportunities.

As part of our commitment to our IIE Generation Study Abroad pledge of making study abroad opportunities more accessible, we want to recognize the dedication of first generation students by offering a brand new $300 First Generation Student Semester Scholarship!

All students attending an SAI semester program, whose parents or legal guardians have not earned a bachelor’s degree, will be eligible to apply for this scholarship, which will be offered beginning in Fall 2017.
