The SAI program at PSB is geared toward students with at least one year of Business or Economics coursework. Visiting students select 4 or 5 courses from a range of classes offered in International Management and Luxury Brand Management, for a total of 12 - 15 US credits. Students are welcome to take French Language, but it is not a requirement.

Financial statement analysis, dividend policy, shares buyback, working capital management. This course complements the tools and techniques of fundamentals of finance with theoretical and practical analysis of risk and return in different contexts. It provides the necessary background to follow any of the more advanced finance electives.
The purpose of this course is to cover essential elements in International Finance. Topics include an overview of the International Monetary environment, the determination of exchange rates and the hedging of currency risk. The objective of this course is to familiarize the student with the various concepts, techniques and tools available in dealing with international financial transactions.
The students will learn basic verbs, tenses, daily expressions which will allow them to socialize and have small talks. Oral skills and written skills will be required to validate this module.
Managing a fashion & luxury brand is a challenging task, which requires a careful balance between creativity and design as well as brand image and corporate objectives. Nevertheless, the relationship between fashionand luxury is not an easy one. In fact, luxury goods are timeless, finely crafted to express rarity and exclusivity. On the other hand, fashion is all about newness, constant change and ephemeral time. Despitethis apparent contradiction, fashion & luxury industry is a multi-billion euros market. It builds commercial ties between countries from around the world and being one of the most aspirational among all industries.Furthermore, facing a massive digital shift, with the explosion of social and digital media platforms and channels, the promotion of the fashion & luxury brands has become as far more multifaceted and imposecurrently new challenges.This course will analyze how different luxury organizations manage their fashion & luxury brands in order to compete in different markets environments. Focus on economic and social trends will lay the foundation for an understanding of the business side of the fashion & luxury universe, including the consumer behaviour.
This course is an introduction to the luxury retail industry. After identifying the key elements of luxury, the course will highlight the evolution of the customer experience and will focus on the changes in consumer demand and technology. The course seeks to boost students creativity and to point out the importance of the customer relationship management.
The targets of this course are to give to the students a global overview of Visual Merchandising (VM) and its important impact through the discovery of VM techniques. The program is a mix between academic theory highlighted by workshops/case studies and out-of-classroom experience, including visits to luxury boutiques in different fields : Fashion, Shoes, Leather goods and Accessories, Beauty and Perfumes, Food and beverages, watches and jewelry.
This course intends to help students better understand their business environment, and to introduce the practice, and the problems that consultants face. The course will shed light on the complex roles that consultants and consulting firms play in enhancing the effectiveness of their clients. Through a clear understanding of international business consulting, this course will focus on strategy and management and details the job of an international consultant and how to succeed in Business consulting.
All PSB courses require that students have completed at least one year of an undergraduate Business or Economics program.
Introduction to seminal and current theoretical paradigms and management practices in international business, focusing on international, national and regional environments, and businesses and organizations.The principal objective of this course is to understand the principal axis of global environment and economic essentials, through corporate strategy to international management and investment functions, drawing on case studies from all continents and regions.
The course identifies and elaborates upon the major challenges that managers of large multinational corporations (MNCs) are currently facing. Those challenges are discussed within the broader context of global strategy, cross-border management and sustainability. More specifically, the course examines the development of strategy in the multinational corporation, the essential organizational capabilities for successful strategy execution, and the broader management challenges of operating a successful MNC.
The modern, knowledge-based economy is characterized by creativity and rapid innovation; a dramatic increase in the rate of production of information and decline in the cost of producing it; and pervasivenetwork externalities or increasing returns to scale. Emphasis is on the role of for creating incentives for firms to innovate. Topics include: why there may be too or too little much innovative activity; what the role ofcreativity is; how laws may slow rather than help innovation; and the interaction between public and private sector innovation.
This course will focus on the introduction to organizational behavior individually and in groups. The course will help students understand the elements faced with a global challenge in understanding culture, emotions, stress, leadership skills and values. The principal objective of this course is to learn the different elements organizational behaviour. This is accomplished through several means, such as class discussions, readings, and exploration of real-world business case studies. This course will place a premium on student participation and homework.
The class material will include both theory and practical application of a decision process perspective to Operations Management in organizations. At the completion of this course, the student will have studied the key concepts and issues involved in the design, planning and control, and improvement of Operations Management.
This course will strengthen the concepts already acquired in International Marketing by focusing on the all new marketing strategies as well as the differences between International Marketing and Domestic Marketing. The main focus will be on Ethnic Marketing and of course Viral Marketing and Yield Management.
Program Structure
Students enrolled in the PSB semester program take either four or five courses (12 or 15 US credits), and may enroll in classes across multiple subject areas, provided that course schedules are compatible. French Language classes are typically held on Wednesdays.
Course Registration
When the final schedule is published by PSB, students will be prompted to SAI to make their course selections. Final class registration is completed once students arrive in Paris. French Language placement tests will also be administered, as required, on site. For courses with prerequisites (indicated in the course description), students must be prepared to show that they have completed the necessary course work.

Standard Housing: Student apartment or residence
Standard housing includes a shared occupancy room in a shared student apartment or a student residence (option to upgrade to private bedroom, if available). All SAI housing in Paris is fully furnished and comes equipped with towels, bed linens, and wireless Internet. Students have access to kitchen facilities, comfortable common areas, and washing machines. SAI on-site staff is available to respond to any housing needs that may arise.
Optional Housing: Family homestay (additional fee applies)
Students choosing the homestay option will be placed with a local family, which could be an older couple or a family with children. SAI homestay families are thoroughly screened and are accustomed to welcoming visiting students into their homes. Homestays provide a private bedroom in the family home with basic furnishings. Wifi is included, as is access to laundry facilities. Students opting for this more immersive housing get breakfast included as well as 3 dinners per week.

Passports should be valid for 3 months after planned departure from Europe.
Student Visas
In accordance with French law students studying in France for 91 or more days are required to obtain a student visa. Those with French/EU citizenship are exempted. Non-US nationals should consult their local Consulate for information on student visa requirements.
Students must appear in person at a VFS Visa Processing Center to present their student visa application. Visa applicants living in the United States are able to set up their appointment at one of the nine visa centers regardless of their location. VFS Global Centers are located in Washington DC, Boston, New York, Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. In some cases the nearest processing center may be in a neighboring state, which might necessitate air travel. Please plan and budget accordingly.
