Greetings from Florence! I can’t believe it but there is only six weeks left. It’s a sad thought for sure. I don’t want to leave this beautiful city. With each day that goes by here Florence feels more and more like my home. I wake up every morning thinking of just how lucky I am. I’ve seen some truly amazing things and experienced some once in a lifetime experiences.
Spring Break flew by. Although it was fast, I had an extraordinary time. My first stop was the beautiful city on the water of Venice, Italy. I’ve wanted to visit Venice since I was a little kid so this was a big experience for me. It was gorgeous and made for some really good pictures. My next stop was to be Assisi, Italy but I came down with a terrible sinus infection. I had to skip it. No illness, however, was going to stop me from going on my next adventure: Stockholm, Sweden. I was terribly sick but spent a remarkable five days in the Swedish capital. I loved it there. Everyone was so nice, spoke perfect English, and their food was excellent!
In between these travels I’ve also gotten to know Florence really well and explore the many hidden treasures Italy has to offer. The Aquarium at Genoa has to be a personal favorite. It was huge and had penguins! What more could one hope for.
It’s crazy to think there are so many travels and experiences still to come. Next weekend I visit the Amalfi Coast and I have trips planned to Rome, Cinque Terre, and other fantastic cities. It’s been a great experience so far, and I have no doubts it will only get better.
