Well, it’s over. The most amazing four months of my life have come to a bittersweet end. I didn’t want to leave. The people I met, the places I saw, I didn’t want to say goodbye to them. But all good things must come to an end and this is one good thing I will never ever forget.
May was a quick but fantastic month in Florence. The weather was absolutely glorious. It was also the month of my last trip. On May 2nd, I headed of to London where, little did I know, I would leave absolutely enamored with the city. I loved it there. Besides Florence, London was hands down my favorite city in Europe. It has the perfect mixture of the old and the modern making it a city with something for everyone.
Saying goodbye to Florence was an emotional event. It was a place that had, over those four whirlwind months, become a place I could call home. I made friendships that will hopefully last for years to come and saw places I never even dreamed I would get the opportunity to see.
Studying Abroad has been the best decision of my life. I have absolutely no regrets and couldn’t have picked a better city to pursue my studies in than Florence. This amazing experience would have never been possible without the generous scholarship SAI was kind enough to award to me. I am so grateful for their contribution and owe them a great deal. They gave me the chance to see the world and enhance my perspective on life and I am indebted to them for that. If I could do it all again I would. Until then I am left daydreaming and reflecting on the best experience I have ever had.
