My time in Florence is beginning to reach an end, and I can’t believe how fast this semester has flown by! The past four months are more than cherished and will never be forgotten. This past month I spent a lot of time in Italy: I visited Rome, parts of Tuscany, and the Amalfi Coast.
The Amalfi Coast was so unbelievably beautiful! It was one of my favorite weekend vacations that I have been on here. I went with a group of my friends that I have met here and we spent the weekend walking around small towns, admiring the views of Anacapri, and relaxing on the beaches of Positano. We were blessed with beautiful weather that just added to the weekend getaway! I feel so grateful to have the luxury of traveling around Italy. It is so easy to hop on a train and venture off to another part of Italy with a completely different feel to it! In my opinion, Rome has a completely different feel and look compared to that Florence, which was so interesting to see. It was no surprise to come back from Rome and feel completely at home back in Florence, the city I have grown to love.
I can’t believe my long awaited semester abroad is coming to an end. It has truly been an experience of a life time, and if I could stay longer I absolutely would! My experience over here as led me to the idea of applying for jobs abroad and eventually moving back to the european lifestyle after I finish college!
Thank you SAI for making this such a special time of my life! I am forever grateful!
