Wander! Florence is a busy city with lots of history and charm. In the heart of the city you will find masterpieces of art in the Uffizi Gallery, romantic ambiance walking through the cobblestone roads, and indescribable architecture like the Duomo. As amazing and important it is to see this historical part of the city crossing theArno River opens you up to a whole different side of Florence. It’s like stepping into a hidden gem where you will find the most charming coffee shops and authentic Italian pasta.

On the other side of the river is where you are able to truly see the culture of Italy at work and the areas untouched by tourists. Take time to wander over to the other side; whether that be to check out La Cite, a great study spot with good coffee, or going to sit and relax with a journal or book in Giardino del Bobolino. If you are looking for the best vodka pasta that you will ever try, go to Alla Vecchia Bettola. One of my favorite places to get pizza is Pizzium. The pizza is amazing and the restaurant is absolutely adorable. Take the time to walk up to Piazza Michelangelo for a sunset, it’s an incredible view of the city and the sunsets are always beautiful. If you are looking for a place to get aperitivo with your friends try Volume in Santo Spirito. There’s indoor and outdoor seating with great live music. Take the opportunity to wander and explore the less-traveled paths of Florence.
